Piezoelectric buzzer
The piezoelectric buzzer is an electroacoustic element composed of a piezoelectric ceramic sounding element and an oscillating circuit.
The piezoelectric buzzer is mainly composed of a multivibrator, a piezoelectric buzzer, an impedance matching device, a sound box and a shell. Some piezoelectric buzzers are also equipped with light-emitting diodes on the housing. A multivibrator consists of a transistor or an integrated circuit. When the power supply is turned on (1.5~15V DC operating voltage), the multivibrator vibrates, outputs 1.5~2.5kHZ audio signal, and the impedance matcher drives the piezoelectric buzzer to sound.
Piezoelectric buzzers can be divided into: passive piezoelectric buzzer (external drive series), active piezoelectric buzzer (including drive series), self-excited piezoelectric buzzer.
The characteristics of piezoelectric buzzer are: small size, light weight, thin thickness, power consumption, good reliability, low cost. Therefore, it is suitable for electronic watches, pocket calculators, electronic doorbells and electronic toys and other small electronic products as sound devices. Electronic clock, electrical products, anti-theft alarm, underground alarm, smoke alarm and electronic toy sound use. It can also be used as an acoustic sensor for voice-activated toys.
